    • Choose the destination folder for the ISO file.
    • Set the Read Speed (default is fine).
  • Start the process
    • Click Read to begin creating the ISO.
    • Monitor the progress bar and logs.
    • You can pause or stop anytime if needed.
  • Verify and use the ISO
    • Once completed, locate the ISO file in the destination folder.
    • Use it for a virtual machine, backup, or disk burning.
    • Ensure it works by mounting or running it in a VM.

If you don’t have a DVD:

Note: Prepare a USB flash drive with at least 4GB of storage and back up any important data, as the USB drive will be erased during the process.

Step 2: Download and install the Windows USB/DVD download tool

To transfer the ISO file onto a USB drive, you’ll need the Windows USB/DVD download tool.

  • Download and install the tool.
  • You don’t have to worry about outdated descriptions mentioning Windows 7 or XP—the tool works for Windows 7, 8, and 10.

Step 3: Create the USB installation drive

  • Launch the Windows USB/DVD download tool and give it permission to make changes.
  • Click Browse and select your Windows ISO file. Then, click Next.
  • Select USB Device instead of DVD.
  • Choose your USB flash drive from the drop-down menu.
    • If the USB isn’t inserted, plug it in and click Refresh.
  • Then click Begin Copying to start the process.
  • A warning will appear if the USB contains any files. Click Yes to erase content from the USB device to format it.
  • Allow around 15 to 20 minutes to complete the process.
  • Once finished, close the tool and check the USB in File Explorer to confirm the installation files are present.

Step 4: Boot from the USB drive and install Windows

  • You can use the USB drive to start the computer where you want to install Windows. You may need to access the BIOS settings to enable USB booting or adjust the boot order so the system can prioritize the USB drive.
  • If the computer doesn’t support booting from USB, you might need to take extra steps to create a bootable CD instead.
